News from the Chalfont St Giles 60+ Fitness & Social Club
Our move to the Scout Hall in Chalfont St Giles, went relatively smoothly and the Hall is warm and comfortable. We are offering lifts to people who come from the Threehousehold area and have not lost any of our usual members.
At our previous venue we had a T.V. for our Wii games and also a Table Tennis table. We have had to buy both items which was rather expensive. However, it is nice to have it all new and it belongs to us. Fortunately we also pay less for the Hall hire and our £2.00 per sessions therefore goes further. After one hour exercises and a cup of tea in between, we are as usual ready for gaming.
For a few weeks we are also doing a short course in Computer Appreciation. People are surprised at what one can do with a computer and hopefully will get their own computer in time.
Our group is also active in the river Misbourne Regeneration Work, which consists of cleaning out the river bed and picking up litter.

Our Tombola stall at the Chalfont St Giles Village Show (Sept. 2009) was a great success.
Erecting our stall
All the prizes for the tombola where donated by members and this enabled us to make a profit of £118.00 for our club.
We started the tombola at 12 noon and by 3pm we had sold out competly. It was a great success to be repeated next year.

Our stall ready to go!
