COPAG - A LOUDER VOICE FOR THE OVER 50s IN CHESHAM!
The Chesham Over 50s Positive Action Group was set up in 2003, and now into its seventh year is looking stronger than ever before.
COPAG holds its monthly meetings at Chesham Town Hall on the third Friday of every month starting at 10.15am. COPAG prides itself on welcoming any over 50-year-old in Chesham to the meetings - even if you don't have an issue to raise, we would love to see new people.
COPAG Now has over 60 members. Membership is just £5 a year, and for that members also receive the COPAG Chronicle (which can also be downloaded from this website). This lively colour magazine is 12 pages long, and contains news, views and features relevant to life in Chesham as an over 50.
The A in COPAG stands for action ... and this is where COPAG can really make a difference. If you have an issue that needs tackling, and don't know who can help you - COPAG can point you in the right direction. The organisation has been in the forefront of all the major issues of concern to the older person in Chesham, making sure their needs are considered.
COPAG is regularly featured in the local press, and is regarded as a credible voice on behalf of the older person in Chesham.
Other achievements:
COPAG were granted the group award at Chiltern District Chairman's Volunteers Awards ceremony in June 2005.
