Department of Health Consultation on proposals to implement 'generic substitution
Please be advised that the
Department of Health has recently started a public consultation on their
proposal to introduce generic substitution for prescriptions in primary care.
This will enable pharmacists and other dispensers to fulfill a prescription for a
branded medicine by dispensing an equivalent generic
medicine.
