LISTEN, HEAR, ACT: CELEBRATING THE VOICE OF OLDER PEOPLE IN THE SOUTH EAST’ |
Tuesday 9 March 2010 The event will be an opportunity for older people’s groups, older people’s champions and those working within statutory services across the region to meet together; to share information and good practice and to highlight ongoing activity which is helping to make the South East a good place to grow older. Above all, the organising committee want to make the day interesting, useful and FUN! The event aims to:
- Celebrate the contribution which the many voices across the region can share and to highlight models of best practice, especially in reaching the most under represented groups
- Establish and build on the foundation for a robust older people’s voice within the region and promote effective forms of engagement of both older and younger people in the later life agenda
- Support the development of a plan for continuing engagement and communication over the next few years
